Rhunda's   closet

Rhunda’s Closet exists to meet the need in our community for gently used clothing for the entire family (Women, Men and Children) in a safe and nonjudgmental atmosphere. Our purpose is to meet the clothing need with an open heart, so that others may see Christ through us.

All clothing items are given free of charge to anyone regardless of economic status.  In Matthew 25:38-40, a parable told by Jesus, people asked the King, ‘when did we see you… needing clothes and clothe you?’ The King replied: ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Rhunda’s Closet serves people who attend Maranatha Christian Center, partners of the Mission Possible Re-Entry Program, and the broader San Jose Community.

Currently Rhunda’s Closet is operating on a limited basis, due to COVID-19 restrictions. If you have a need for clothing please contact the church at 408-280-7729. We will expand our reach and availability once restrictions are lifted and it is safe to fully reopen.

Rhunda’s Closet depends solely on volunteers to manage and operate the ministry. We are looking for volunteers who love people, are compassionate, encouraging, nonjudgmental, dependable, and flexible. Training is provided.
