Pinkston has been a high school teacher (Science, Mathematics and Religious Studies), coach and administrator for the past 43 years.  Recently he retired from Bellarmine College Preparatory where he served as the  Christian Service Director and moderator of both the African American Student Union and AGAPE Club.

Rev. Pinkston holds a B.A. in Biology from Pomona College, a M.A. in Education from Claremont Graduate University, a M.A in Theology from the University of San Francisco and has studied in East Africa and Japan.  He serves as an Advisory Board member for Loyola Marymount University’s L.E.A.D. Institute and an executive Board Member for East Side Heroes’ Mentoring and Scholarship Program.
Pinkston has been married to Lenora Clease Pinkston for 36 years.  This Christian union has been blessed with two children and a grandson.  Son Aaron (Kristen) is an electrical engineering with Lockheed Martin.  Daughter Lauren (Mike) works in admissions at Bellarmine Prep.  Grandson Michael is a young joy in all of their lives.
