A Legacy of Spiritual Leadership and Discipleship

With over 37 years of dedicated ministry, Rev. Dr. Tyrone Partee’s journey has been marked by unwavering commitment to spiritual leadership and discipleship. As a seasoned pastor, he has led congregations across major cities in the United States, serving diverse communities in Chicago, Minneapolis, and Los Angeles. Discipleship and spiritual growth have been the pillars of his pastoral approach, guiding individuals and families closer to God and strengthening their faith.

Dr. Partee’s extensive background also includes significant roles as a police chaplain and prison chaplain, where he provided compassionate support and counseling to justice-impacted individuals, police personnel, and their families. His service as Senior Chaplain at Ila State Prison in Norway involved overseeing chaplaincy services, guiding inmates on their spiritual journey, and providing emotional support for both staff and families connected to the prison. This experience reinforced his dedication to addressing the needs of the justice-impacted, offering hope and redemption through faith.

Professional Background

Dr. Partee has served as a Senior Pastor in both inner-city and international settings, ministering to diverse populations and engaging in community-building initiatives. He also served as a Police Chaplain with the New Orleans Police Department, where he offered spiritual care and counsel to law enforcement personnel and their families. His community impact is highlighted by his work at Reformation Lutheran Church in Chicago, which hosted President Barack Obama’s first community organization office and laid the groundwork for the Redeemer Center for Life, a nonprofit committed to youth training, housing, and workforce development in North Minneapolis.

Ministry at Maranatha Christian Center

In 2021, Rev. Dr. Partee answered the call to serve as Senior Pastor at Maranatha Christian Center, succeeding Dr. Tony Williams. Here, he continues MCC’s strong legacy of faith-based outreach and community service. Under his leadership, MCC has introduced the Building Sustainable Futures program, which supports justice-impacted individuals with education, workforce training, and practical job skills to help them successfully reintegrate and thrive in their communities.

Our Maranatha Family

At Maranatha Christian Center, Dr. Partee is committed to lifting up the name of Jesus and fostering strong family and community connections. Through initiatives like B.O.O.K. (Building Our Own Kids), food pantries, holiday drives, and clothing distribution through Rhunda’s Closet, MCC strives to be a source of hope and support for all. Dr. Partee has also introduced the B.O.O.S.T. Kids (Building Our Own STEAM Talent) program, an after-school initiative offering STEAM education, creative expression through music, and vital academic support. This program is particularly impactful for children of justice-impacted parents, providing positive pathways and reducing intergenerational incarceration.

In addition to these community programs, Dr. Partee leads discipleship classes and Bible studies, nurturing spiritual growth and fellowship within the Maranatha community. His mission is to empower individuals to live out their faith with purpose and integrity.
